Tasting Table picks EYB as Handiest Website

Eat Your Books is the Handiest Website of the Month according to Tasting Table. Very cool!

And today we have a write-up in The Irish Times which has resulted in a large number of new Irish members. Welcome to you all but I would warn you that initially the site is aimed at the USA so we don't have a lot of British and Irish cookbooks. That will change over the next year though. And we are changing the spelling of Schull on the log-in page!

I saw the write-up in the Irish Times today and have signed up for the trial. It's a fantastic idea, one that I actually thought of, but I didn't think it existed! As you say, a lot of Irish and British books seem to be missing for now. Do you plan to have a place to suggest books for adding or is email currently the best way to do this? Best of luck with the site and I'm really looking forward to using it.

I saw the article in the Irish Times last weekend too, coincidentally after spending a frustrated afternoon looking for a particular recipe in my cookbook collection. What a briliant idea! I actually found that the majority of my books were available, maybe not all indexed, but hopefully that will change over time. Really looking forward to using the site!

I really like the site but as per other Irish cooks disappointed that I can't find too many familiar cookbooks. I suggest you ask for recommendations from us and rate accordingly - that might help with the upload of these books. I'm really keen to use it and would love to contribute to making it more relevant to my compatriots - both here and across the Irish sea !

Hi Brid - I'm glad you found us. I am currently setting up a deal for data from a British book distributor so as soon as that is established and we can get all the data imported there will be a huge increase in the books available for you to add to your Bookshelf.
