Sediment in vanilla extract   Go to last post Go to last unread

I have a one quart bottle of Nielsen-Massey Madagascar vanilla extract that's almost empty, and I've noticed theres some sediment stuck to the bottom of the bottle.  Should I shake the bottle to mix in the sediment the next time I use it, or should I avoid it?

The sediment is probably vanilla cavier.  Mix it up.  I make  my own vanilla and always have sediment at the bottom of the bottle.
