I don't have it but I did look through it at the recent book fair in New York.  It is stunning - very detailed, educational with gorgeous photography.  I can't imagine I would cook from it personally since I just don't have that sort of free time but it would be a fascinating read.  If you are someone who happily can spend an entire day cooking a meal (that used to me, pre-EYB!) then it could be worth it.


There is a very interesting thread on eGullet about the book http://forums.egullet.or...an-myhrvold-chris-young/  The people on eGullett are well informed so it's worth reading before you make the investment in the book.  BTW, we will be indexing it as soon as we get the book from the publicist.

I just got back from a couple of weeks in the woods, and my copy was waiting for me.  I haven't unpacked it yet, but have promised to index it when member indexing is available.  Where am I going to store it?, I wonder.  Daunting.
