So because I'm (supposedly) writing my dissertation, I've moved to Paris for the year, leaving my entire book collection back in NYC.  Which, of course, means starting my collection over in France!  So far, I've enjoyed the Marabout chef series and the original version of Je Sais Cuisiner.  Does anyone else have experience with French cookbooks published in France?  Any that you'd recommended definitely not missing?  Or maybe we could open the discussion up to other non-American cookbooks that people have found interesting or worthwhile?

Probably slightly outside your criteria but I can't recomend Sud de France by Caroline Conran enough - wonderful and brought a whole new dimension to my cooking.
