I'm just back from a trip to California where I enjoyed some wonderful food and great cookbook shopping.  It's years since I've tasted jicama.  Now I'm home with lots of recipe ideas and don't know where to find jicama in Ireland. Anybody know?

Hello Bikkie,
I am a California living in the Netherlands where jicama is also unknown in general food stores. However it is available in various ethnic grocery stores. I see it most often in Asian grocery stores. Of course it is usually under a different name.
