    I adapted this recipe for pork roast without the fatty skin, salt or cream, and even without cider and it's very good indeed.

    This was tonight's randomly selected meal: I brined the duck breasts first for 24 hours, then did the spice rub.. it was to die for! I'm becoming a convert to brining!

• Sesame & tahini puffed rice bars with dark chocolate

    These are great - I halved the chocolate and just pored it over the top then cut them - worked brilliantly. Kids loved them and they are much healthier than your packaged muesli bar.
