Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Pork steaks with Moroccan pumpkin and rice pilaf

    • AliciaWarren on August 26, 2013

Very good. Made this 26 Aug 2013 substituting pork leg steaks for pork medallions, lime for lemon, celery leaves for parsley, brown rice for basmati. I added a sprinkle of tamari sunflower seeds over the pilaf. We had home grown brussel sprouts on the side. Personally I would have liked the pilaf to be a little spicier (perhaps a tsp of ras el hanout?). Also I might add some ground fennel to the cumin and coriander next time.

This was very delicious and fairly quick - used Kumara instead of pumpkin
