Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Chocolate avocado shake

    • JoCam1717 on September 26, 2014

Make sure avocado is not under ripe. Blender will not make an under ripe avocado creamy and the shake turns out with strange texture and less tasty.

  • Pinto bean stew with jalapeño-corn dumplings

    • Waderu on July 03, 2013

I used 2 cups of frozen vegetable mix - corn, green beans, peas and carrots instead of the bell pepper, celery and carrots. One less step.

  • Sole with garlic-almond-caper sauce

    • dinnermints on May 26, 2016

Good! I couldn't get fillets small enough and could fit only two to a large pan - next time would either fire up two skillets or use the griddle. Might've gotten a better crust with cast iron instead of nonstick. I used almond meal instead of pulsing the sliced almonds with the flour & salt.
