Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Salsa couscous chicken

    • chawkins on August 21, 2014

One of my favorite go-to recipes when I have to put dinner on the table in short order. It packs a lot of flavor with minimal effort. Today's version was especially good because I used home-canned salsa made with home-grown tomatoes.

  • Lickity quick lemonade bread

    • ethedens on May 08, 2025

I can't find this in my edition

  • Lemon almond breakfast pastry

    • ethedens on April 17, 2025

Very simple, very good. Not too sweet. 3.75/5

  • Cherry winks

    • hbakke on November 24, 2021

I made these by special request for my mom, who remembers my grandmother making them when she was a kid. Despite my distaste for maraschino cherries, these were nice cookies and I liked the almost almondy flavor, and crunch from the crumbled cornflakes. Everyone seemed to like them.

  • Almond macaroon cherry pie

    • ethedens on October 10, 2024

This was very good and very easy, maybe a little sweet. Will definitely remember to salt premade pie filling from now on. 3.5/5
