  • Chocolate pumpkin cookies

    • moreace01 on November 13, 2010

So I was looking for a pumpkin cookie recipe and came across this one. As I was gathering the ingredients, I wondered - when do I add the pumpkin?? Then I realized these are pumpkin SHAPED cookies. Ah! Still - I thought the recipe sounded interesting, so I made them anyway. The outcome? They had a tendency to break apart and the pepper didn't seem to add much (and that was the part I was intrigued about). They were just alright for me.

  • Fresh cranberry sauce

    • cespitler on November 02, 2012

Like many of us here, I refuse to eat the sauce out of a can! But, Martha Stewart's Fresh Cranberry Sauce changed how I thought about this dish. It's made with fresh orange juice and a bit of sugar (though I always use less than the recipe). Delicious! And, anything that is left is fabulous mixed with butter and served as a spread on toast the next day.
