Notes about this book

  • jaelsne on January 14, 2010

Out of all my healthy living cookbooks, this is my favorite. It contains delicious, healthy recipes that my entire family enjoys. As a cancer patient, I have found valuable health information in this book. For instance, there is an extensive list of ingredients and their effects on cancer. The only downside is that the recipes are not super super quick and easy, so it would be hard for patients to make for themselves if they're undergoing chemo. Otherwise, I rely on it almost daily.

Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Magic mineral broth

    • jaelsne on April 22, 2010

This makes a huge pot of delicious vegetable stock!

    • AOski on August 04, 2012

You'll need a VERY big pot to pull this off. To make sure I have room I split the recipe evenly between two 8 quart pots.

  • Easy eggs in a cup

    • jaelsne on April 22, 2010

      Easy and absolutely delish!

  • Cozy comfy chicken and rice

    • jaelsne on April 22, 2010

I make this often for my family. It's a little bland, so I spice it up by either substituting a spicier pepper for the pimiento or adding hot sauce.

  • Dried fruit compote

    • jaelsne on April 22, 2010

This is a favorite of my husband. It's very fragrant and tasty, and full of fiber.

  • Blueberry compote

    • jaelsne on April 22, 2010

Very easy. I loved this with oatmeal!
