    I was lucky enough to live in San Francisco when Medrich's bakery, Cocolat, was still in business. Everything she made was to die for, and in this book she's come up with great lower-fat and calorie versions of classic chocolate desserts. They're not calorie-free, but you can feel a lot less guilty by following these recipes! And Medrich certainly knows what tastes good!

      I am not really a dessert maker but have made this at least twice. Instead of sprinkling powdered sugar on top I spread with a quince jelly glaze and served with fresh raspberries. p 33

      I am not a chocoholic so I don't know why I bought this book. But I am a lemon fiend and this is wonderful lemon curd. Highly recommended. p 141
