  • Red beans and rice

      I used a little less bacon and a little more veg (had to add a bit of oil). The brined beans cooked up perfectly - flavorful, tender, yet intact. This was just on the edge of my son's spice tolerance; hubby and I added hot sauce. I didn't use the rice recipe, just cooked it in the rice cooker.
