Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Maple-glazed pork tenderloin with orange and chipotle

    • ashallen on March 14, 2021

Good! The meat was moist and the glaze was nicely sticky with a good mix of smoky, sweet, and spicy flavors. The maple flavor definitely came through with Grade A-dark maple syrup. I over-reduced the glaze a bit and it quickly morphed from a thick sauce to a sticky, bouncy glob. Stirring in a bit of water over low heat quickly fixed it, fortunately. Making a half-recipe worked fine. We enjoyed eating this with roasted carrots.

  • Best blueberry muffins

    • chawkins on July 21, 2020

Loved the texture of these muffins. With two cups of blueberries and half of it cooked down and swirled into muffins, these definitely had enough blueberries in them. Also like the hint of lemon from the lemon sugar sprinkled on top, although I do find them to be a tad too sweet.

  • Perfect chocolate chip cookies

    • okmosa on September 08, 2024

This chocolate chip recipe has solved all sorts of cookie problems for me. Using melted butter removes the wait for softening butter and however these ratios do it, I finally had a cookie that didn't spread unapologetically. Next time I would use less chocolate chips (I prefer more cookie to chocolate chip) and make the cookies smaller.
