Biography

Mindy Fox is the food editor of La Cucina Italiana magazine, a cookbook author and food writer. Formerly on staff at Saveur, she has written for Saveur, La Cucina Italiana, Garden Design, Budget Living, Every Day with Rachael Ray, Prevention, Time Out New York and Edible Manhattan magazines. She has freelanced for Martha Stewart Living, Real Simple, Gourmet, Parenting, Weekend, Food & Wine, Rodale, and The Taunton Press, and has worked and taught with chefs and cookbook authors Michel Nischan, Peter Berley, Didi Emmons, and Lora Brody. Mindy is the author of A Bird in the Oven and Then Some (Kyle, 2010), co-author with Chef Sara Jenkins of Olives & Oranges: Recipes and Flavor Secrets from Italy, Spain, Cyprus & Beyond (Houghton Mifflin 2008); and co-author and food stylist with Chef Karen DeMasco of The Craft of Baking (Clarkson Potter, 2009). Early in her career, Mindy cooked professionally in Boston restaurants, training with James Beard Award nominee, chef Stan Frankenthaler and others. Mindy’s cooking and writing has been inspired by extensive travels in France, Italy, Spain, Mexico, and Turkey.
