Biography

GAYLE ORTIZ and her husband, JOE ORTIZ, opened Gayle's Bakery in Capitola, California, in 1978. Predominantly self-taught, Gayle has also studied in pastry kitchens throughout France and Italy, and she gives pastry-making classes around the United States.
