  • rosyannposy  on  6/28/2013 at 5:10 PM

I love honey! I'd have to say that I really do love it with peanut butter or with banana in a sandwich. Also like it in iced coffee too.

  • jenncc  on  6/28/2013 at 5:14 PM

At the moment im using it as a glaze - mixed with white miso for eggplant under the broiler and atop yogurt over grilled or broiled apricots.

  • retrospeth  on  6/28/2013 at 5:30 PM

My dad's backyard honey over hand-packed ricotta from Liuzzi Cheese in Hamden, Conn. Or just straight off the spoon!

  • sheepishjen  on  6/28/2013 at 5:34 PM

Do I have to choose one? On a spoonful of peanut butter, drizzled on fresh ricotta, or goat cheese, or blue cheese, as a glaze for roasted veggies, in my oatmeal, in my coffee, in a glass of warm milk, over ice cream, baked into my homemade granola....okay, I guess I have to cut myself off someplace.

  • kalex426  on  6/28/2013 at 5:37 PM

Drizzled over a toasted muffin or plain ol' English toasting bread (letting the honey flavor be the star).

On whole wheat toast with peanut butter.

  • KarenS  on  6/28/2013 at 5:44 PM

  • ellabee  on  6/29/2013 at 10:48 AM

My most frequent use of honey is as an ingredient in a salad dressing -- it seems to help hold the emulsion together. Also good in peanut sauce for use with udon noodles.

  • Shikoomkoom  on  6/29/2013 at 1:20 PM

Mixed with ricotta and cinnamon, dolloped on top of a baked sweet potato :)

  • Maureen  on  6/29/2013 at 3:53 PM

Love it in tea but love it as a peanut butter and honey sandwich (not a jelly or jam fan).

  • JanScholl  on  6/29/2013 at 4:16 PM

I am not a big user of honey-because my only access is to what the mass market grocery stores carry and from what I gather in my information from consumer groups, most of that isn't really honey but a hybrid. Same goes for "maple syrup". I would love to have access to real real honey. Then I could figure out what to do with it!

  • SLane  on  6/29/2013 at 4:58 PM

It will be interesting to read more of this book and try the different honeys.

  • Mrs. L  on  6/29/2013 at 7:14 PM

Fresh figs, fresh ricotta and some honey. Nothing better.

  • imaluckyducky  on  6/29/2013 at 7:36 PM

The raw/semi-solid honey. On a spoon, In my mouth.

  • DesiKim  on  6/30/2013 at 6:28 AM

I absolutely love honey. Have it almost every day in my tea. But my absolute favourite is honey drizzled on hot buttered toast or hot buttered waffles. My mum also makes a pretty awesome coconut cake soaked in honey that I love

  • HarlanH  on  6/30/2013 at 12:43 PM

I've got an insanely good honey mousse recipe. Orange blossom honey mousse with candied orange peel and fresh orange supremes.

  • camtncook  on  6/30/2013 at 12:52 PM

We're making mead with local honey...

  • Upstartist  on  6/30/2013 at 12:59 PM

Love it on peanut butter sandwiches.

  • DominoP33  on  6/30/2013 at 1:22 PM

I like licking it off a spoon but I also like it in tea, occasionally. On a sandwich - with peanut butter - yum! In summers, honey barbecued ribs of course! And also drizzled on ice cream, in a sauce or on its own.

  • Tiur  on  6/30/2013 at 1:29 PM

Drizzle the honey over the fried plantain or cassave

  • Christine  on  6/30/2013 at 2:08 PM

    In salad dressings!

  • pamandab  on  6/30/2013 at 3:18 PM

Honey either just with a spoon, or drizzled over roast pork shoulder, or a feta/dill/phyllo tart (see Melissa Clark for the amazing recipe!). I didn't like jelly as a kid, so my daily lunch was pb&h...

  • astamm2012  on  6/30/2013 at 4:32 PM

i absolutely love honey, and want to raise my own bees one day. I like to use honey in everything that people normally use sugar for. But it is especially great on dinner rolls, and mixed with light butter on bagels

  • bumblebree  on  6/30/2013 at 5:10 PM

I prefer it mixed together with mashed banana and peanut butter on toast, but it's also SO good by itself!

  • Debcancook  on  6/30/2013 at 5:46 PM

My favorite way to eat honey is on toasted whole grain bread!

  • Waderu  on  6/30/2013 at 7:48 PM

Honey syrup - we use it in cocktails as a substitute for simple sugar. Especially good in hot toddies. Great to sweeten plain yogurt too and no sticky mess.

  • marco.825  on  6/30/2013 at 7:51 PM

Mmmm.. using honey... let me count the ways... but if I have to pick one it would be Tupelo honey (distinct buttery notes) sparingly drizzled over Buttermilk brined-&-fried chicken and savory roasted vegetables. The contrast to the saltiness is exquisite. The Yin and yang on my palate is sublime... and then to pair it with a buttery (not oaky) Chard is bliss.

  • eljay65  on  6/30/2013 at 8:51 PM

Russian Honey Cake, baklava or in a hot toddy to beat winter colds (lemon, honey, ginger, garlic, turmeric & cayenne)

  • AndreaMeyer  on  7/1/2013 at 4:18 AM

Drizzled over creamy Greek yoghurt and topped with nuts... I'm hungry just thinking about it.

  • PatriciaScarpin  on  7/1/2013 at 6:53 AM

    With yogurt and granola. Yum!

  • wildaboutmn  on  7/1/2013 at 9:32 AM

On hot toast, or drizzled on the edge of a cheese plate with a few lavender buds sprinkled in.

  • krobbins426  on  7/1/2013 at 11:32 AM

To sweeten our smoothies each morning, we use local honey purchased from the farmer's market. Also love it in greek yogurt with some unsweetened nut butter.

  • nelsonjaybear  on  7/2/2013 at 1:48 AM

Toasted Sandwich with Banana and Cream Cheese

  • toddschut  on  7/2/2013 at 7:57 AM

Either on a warm buttermilk biscuit, or as honey syrup in a Bee's Knees Cocktail.

  • Emily Hope  on  7/2/2013 at 6:36 PM

On whole wheat toast, drizzled over almond butter and flaky sea salt.

  • Queezle_Sister  on  7/3/2013 at 4:42 PM

Oh Emily - I thought my idea was original. I, too, prefer my honey (locally produced) on whole grain bread, toasted to perfection, with a thin smear of almond butter, and then the drizzled honey on top. But wow, Emily -- salt -- that is the perfect addition.

  • cheftee  on  7/6/2013 at 7:41 AM

We use honey quite a bit - local honey for my son who has tremendous allergies. I add it to yogurt, peanut butter toast, over pancakes, in my tea, honey butter (we used to buy it, now we make it!) just about anything I can.

  • Evie  on  7/6/2013 at 12:46 PM

Favorite way to use honey: drizzled over a homemade buttermilk biscuit.

  • bernsfield  on  7/6/2013 at 12:54 PM

Lavender honey served with a great blue cheese is the best! I'm lucky to have a friend who is a beekeeper, so I have a fresh supply that works especially well with other local produce and cheeses!

  • Jane  on  7/8/2013 at 2:48 PM
