    The HUBS LOVES cake. And eats WAY to much of it. I would like to find that perfect lower/no sugar cake for him.

    I'm intrigued by the whole concept! Since baking is more a science than an art (although art does enter into the equation!), I don't bake a lot of items heavy in sugar. If there's a way to cut down on the refined sugar I'd love to know how! The Pumpkin Apple Spice Muffins are calling to me.

    I am really excited to have a cookbook that focuses on reducing the refined sugar in recipes without resorting to artificial sweeteners/stevia. I think this is definitely a book to add to your cookbook library!!

    Pretty much anything! I love to bake and I try to replace on my own, but having a bit more guidance would be appreciated!

    Angel food cake already has essentially zero fat . . . can you remove (or at least replace some of) the sugar and have much anything left?

    I have been disappointed many times with my favorites without the sugar. It is hard to find these types of recipes. Does this book break my past experiences? I hope to find out. How about a sugarless black forest cake for starters. Then follow that up with pecan butter tarts, and then mincemeat pie (meatless variety).Always looking to cut back on calories. Love the chance to find out if this meets my needs. And with no flavor lost.

    I find almost all desserts too sweet. The flavor of the main ingredients gets lost in the overwhelming taste of sugar.

    I'm interested in making a caramel sauce without refined sugar. Sugar substitutes don't seem to caramelize well but I'm hopeful that either coconut palm sugar or maple sugar might work.

    Anzac Biscuits! Traditionally they contain golden syrup & granulated sugar to get that dark, crisp finish (you would probably call it a cookie rather than a biscuit). I've tried baking them with Xylitol, but they turned out soft and chewy - completely the wrong texture! I'd love to find a natural alternative to refined sugars for this biscuit - perhaps there is a similar recipe in the book that I could adapt.

    Would love a recipe for pecan pie that doesn't require a boatload of corn syrup, and some less sweet frostings - I've been making french and italian buttercreams lately but I'm wondering if I can replace the sugar syrup with something less intensely sugary.

    I made these ice cream sandwiches with sugar cookies recently, and they had sugar sprinkled on top as well as in them-- I'd love to experiment with less refined sugars as a garnish- the texture and difference in taste would be fun and different!

    Carrot cake and chocolate chip cookies are faves in our household. I have switched from white sugar to pure cane, but would like to learn how to use less or substitute another sweetener.
