  • rchesser  on  10/19/2016 at 5:49 PM

I have been to London and the best meal I had was the Fish & Chips at Borough Market , the runner up would have to be the full English breakfast we had at our host's home.

  • AGENT99  on  10/19/2016 at 6:06 PM

This may sound weird, but it was the cottage cheese with my English Breakfast at the Radisson Edwardian Hotel. Best cottage cheese ever!

  • gjelizabeth  on  10/19/2016 at 8:14 PM

Only made it to the airport outside London on my way to Scotland. In Scotland my favorite food thing was the bottle of whiskey on the breakfast buffet to douse your oatmeal with if you needed a bit of armor against the drizzle.

  • jdlt  on  10/19/2016 at 9:01 PM

It's a tie between a lovely homey meal I had in a tiny, underground vegetarian spot and the famous curry I had in the old city!

  • Mariarosa  on  10/19/2016 at 9:47 PM

I was pregnant when I visited London a number of years ago. I could not get enough of the full english breakfast, no morning sickness thank goodness. I was always too tired at the end of the day for dinner but we stayed at a bed and breakfast that served the most delicious drinking chocolate every morning.

  • Mcldanyell  on  10/20/2016 at 10:39 AM

No, I have not, but would love to someday.

  • jenmacgregor18  on  10/20/2016 at 10:55 AM

I was in London years ago but I remember one of the best meals being at an Indian Restaurant. I have no idea where it was or what it's name was but the food was great.

  • lsgourmet  on  10/20/2016 at 8:47 PM

Last year at The Clarence - great pub, great food. Their pumpkin soup was amazing and they do a Ploughman's that is ten times better than any other pub.

  • echilt5  on  10/21/2016 at 12:49 AM

Definitely not the pasta I had at the Fashion Cafe in 1997 - holy overpriced! But generally, the food I've had in London has been lovely!

  • tarae1204  on  10/27/2016 at 7:47 AM

I have been to London, but it was over 20 years ago. I had a difficult time finding a good meal! Was on a budget, didn't know the city, it was cold -- I remember wandering around looking for places in my Lonely Planet Guidebook and not being able to find them.

  • ballen  on  10/27/2016 at 9:39 AM

  • PennyG  on  10/28/2016 at 2:27 PM

I was recently in London and have to say it was the STEAK I had my first night there, after three months in beef-less India!

Yes! First meal: fish and chips.

  • JanScholl  on  10/29/2016 at 1:00 AM

I have never been there in person but I travel to the UK in my reading and movie selections. I would like to try mushy peas, since everyone is so grossed out by them, because I know I won't be.

  • Deneenm  on  11/2/2016 at 8:17 AM

Had dinner at the Ledbury just after it opened -- so it wasn't that hard to get a reservation. We had no particular expectations, but whoa, what an amazing meal!

I've never been (except for changing planes at Heathrow), but would love to go. I have cousins in London, and my great-grandparents came from south of there, from the Brighton area. I'd love to try the pub food there. And sticky toffee pudding.

  • lolako  on  11/11/2016 at 11:50 PM

Lived there as a student. Best meal chips and rice with curry sauce from the Chinese takeout.
