Cookbook Giveaway - May Roundup

Our contest palooza continues and to make sure you have entered them all I have put together a roundup of giveaways.  A reminder if you aren't able to do all the giveaway options on one day (i.e., you don't wish to share the giveaway and review posts on one day), come back and do them another day.  Please check your spam filters on email - I have to send multiple emails and then choose alternative winners when I receive no response.

There are two online Cookbook Clubs on Facebook that I am a part of - Food52 Cookbook Club and The Cookbook Junkies Cookbook Club (my group), a separate group from The Cookbook Junkies (all cookbook news all the time). This month Food52 is working through Small Victories. The Cookbook Junkies are working through My Two Souths. For more information on these cookbook groups, please see the links provided.

I wish the competitions were open to your members in Australia.

  • Jenny  on  5/14/2017 at 9:50 PM

Clove, we try to get the competitions worldwide whenever we can and recently a few giveaways expired that were worldwide. Greece The Cookbook is open in Australia and we have a few more coming that will be worldwide. Prior to my taking over as Cookbook Promotions Manager - there were at most 6 to 8 giveaways a month. Now, I'm bringing members 24 a month - so, yes, it does seem like most of them are US - it's just that there are three times the amount and many more US publishers doing promotions.

Jenny you are doing a fabulous job of setting up the cookbook competitions! I don't know about anyone else here but I have found myself getting so excited about a cookbook in one of the giveaways that I end up rushing out and buying it before the contest is over. So far I think I have purchased three or four new cookbooks this way so far this year. Are the publishers noticing an uptick when their books are reviewed and included in one of your contests on EYB?

  • Jenny  on  5/15/2017 at 7:17 AM

Thank you Hillsboroks --- our publishers appreciate our work here - it's a team effort all around by everyone here at EYB. We are working diligently on bringing more giveaways to more regions.

Loving the wide selection of books you have in the giveaways!! As a Chef/Baker, I'm always looking for new ideas or new books to add to my collection. Some good Bakery books wouldn't go amiss!!!
