Cookbook Giveaway - Master Recipes

Master Recipes: A Step-by-Step Guide to Cooking Like a Pro by The Editors of Food & Wine appeals equally to new and experienced cooks. The new cook will love the step-by-step approach and process photos to guide them (homemade ricotta, roasting a turkey). The experienced cook will also love those points but more as a way of perfecting their skills and perhaps even expanding upon them (make your own ramen noodles, croissants).

    Carolina pulled pork with Eastern Carolina sauce -- provided it is the apple vinegar and pepper flake eastern NC sauce (a little concerned that there is mustard in the recipe...)

    The oversize breakfast biscuits I might make first. But there are alot of yummy looking bread recipes and the hazelnut recipes. Just so many great recipes to choose from!!!^_^

    I've always wanted to learn how to make a good tempura. So: Vegetable tempura with ginger-ponzu dipping sauce is the one I'd try first.

    I would make the French (Canadian) onion soup first. Ive tried a few times to make a good onion soup and never was able to get it right. In fact, I am downright awful at making it.
