Cookbook Giveaway - Malaysia - Ping Coombes

Malaysia: Recipes from a Family Kitchen by Ping Coombes, winner of MasterChef 2014, brings Malaysian cuisine into the spotlight, from her family table to yours. Drawing inspiration from her mother and from the late-night stalls and street markets in her hometown of Ipoh, Ping has assembled over 100 authentic and approachable recipes that serve as the perfect introduction to the tastes, textures, and colors of Malaysian fare.

    The only thing I love more than pandan is kaya. So I would make the kaya first.

    I would REALLY like to try the Roti Jala - it's hard to find recipes that can be converted to vegetarian and THIS one looks so interesting!

    Lemongrass ginger meatballs, curry popcorn... I can't choose which I'd make first from this wonderful list of recipes. I'd have to let time and ingredients and mood choose for me.

    oh man, malaisian food--i can't wait to try my hand! i love the look of the pickled shallots, charred leeks with sambal, curry popcorn, spicy prawn and vermicelli salad, stir-fried flat rice noodles with prawns, steamed hake with garlic oil and oyster sauce, sambal prawns, stir-fried mushrooms, any of the veggie stirfries, anything with prawns, anything with rice noodles...this is gorgeous!

    I think the Lemongrass and kaffir lime gin and tonic sounds wonderful!
