I am surprised no one replied here yet. But it might be that they have the same experience that I have: EYB is a great resource but it is not very helpful with specific diets.
I am on a pretty strict low-carb diet myself, but I never use the low-carb nutrition filter EYB has. I find it leaves out so many recipes that are either naturally low-carb or very easily adapted, and worse, it leaves in many recipes that may be paleo or something like that but are definitely not low-carb (banana-maple syrup cake anyone? I made it especially for your diet...).
So for special diets, your best bet is either to use EYB only within cookbooks/websites that you know and trust, or to just use it to find recipes and then choose and adapt as needed.
The EYB filters for vegetarian/vegan diets are fine.
