Have you considered listing the amount of time given in the recipe along with the main ingredients? I love that I can search for recipes on my way home from work and be ready to cook when I get in the door, but it would be helpful to know, not just what ingredients I need to have on hand, but how much time a recipe is likely to take. I may have all the ingredients necessary, but if I'm looking to get something on the table quickly, a recipe that requires lots of advanced prep isn't going to work. Obviously I can sometimes tell based on a recipe's title (and common sense) whether a significant time commitment is likely to be involved, but it would help to be able to consider prep and cooking time when sifting through the recipes that come up in a given search.

We do have a Quick & easy tag - under Recipe types / Dish types - that indexers add for any recipe that the author mentions fit that description or come from cookbooks with that definition. There are 180,000+ recipes with that tag in the EYB Library. If any member feels a recipe should have the tag but doesn't, just let us know and we will add it. You can communicate by adding a Note to the recipe or emailing us.

You can also set up your own Bookmark "Quick" which you can apply to recipes in your recipe collection then when you are searching you can filter the results tojust search in Quick recipes.

There are a couple of issues to listing in the EYB index the amount of time a recipe takes. Many authors do not list that information and it is not really possible for an indexer to guage that from just reading the recipe. And we already have 1.6 million recipes indexed - it will not be possible to go back and add this data to all previously indexed books.
