I would love to be able to show or list just member-indexed books.  I enjoy seeing the books someone loved so much that they are willing to do the work.  The books seem to often be older, and there are some real gems that I might not otherwise ever notice.

me too ;-) Especially given around 40% of indexed books appear to be done by members.. thank you fellow member indexing folks!!

Member indexed books are tagged - the Index status on a book is Indexed (done by EYB), Member Indexed, Indexing Now, or Request Index (this tag will change to Index requested if you request EYB to do it). Since 40% of the indexed books are done by members, it's quite easy to just scroll through the Library and see which books are Member Indexed. On average 10 of every page of 25 results will be member indexed.

I know about the tagging, which is wonderful and exactly how I have found some of my newest cookbooks. Thank you, indexers! You are heros! What I would love is to have "member indexed" as one of the options on the dropdown menu.  I could then sort thru just those for topic or number of shelves.  Just one more way to dig thru cookbooks for a winner that I hadn't otherwise heard of. It makes that kind of search easier on my end, not that it isn't fun seeing other books as well.

This makes very good sense to me.  I'd like a way to add my support to various requests that I see in the forum.  One way would be adding a support counter or heart emoticon to posts.  Clicking it would add a "like" symbol with a number by it to indicate the number of times members have clicked to like the topic.  See Facebook for an example.
