I add a public note whenever I make a recipe, IF I generally follow the recipe's instructions. If I make multipe modifications or substitutions (so that it drastically changes the end result), then I might make a personal note. Knowing what went wrong encourages me to search for another recipe, helps me modify the recipe for prevention, or just warns me what to be aware of in cooking. I appreciate other member's notes regarding the flavor, texture, spiciness, etc. of a recipe. Notes about the ease/difficulty of preparation are also helpful. I also appreciate knowing other people's reactions -- family members, guests -- when they have a different opinion.
