mjes - image upload only works if the blog/website has correctly formatted the image. Unfortunately many sites don't do this. Cathy, who proofreads all the Bookmarklet added recipes, has to manually add many images that did not load. The large professional sites such as Epicurious and the Washington Post load images fine, but smaller sites, such as these examples you give, probably don't load properly.
I think you would find that the case for your many of your Personal Recipes, mjes. We therefore recommend you save the image on the recipe site to your own device then upload that, using the Upload Image option in the Personal Recipes form.
