Hi fellow cookbook fans.

At the beginning of the year, I changed to eating whole food plant based No oil. I’ve decided it’s time to move on a bunch of my cookbooks and it’s hard to say goodbye. I have a small home and I just don’t have the room for anything non-essential.

My family isn’t fully on board yet, so I might keep a few classics.

Thanks for listening

You are truly really kind. In my case I am grateful by your offer, but I think I live too far away and the postage would be really expensive, but thank you again <3

Have you considered donating them to a local school libarary for their home economics/cookery/hotel  students? I'm sure they'd be appreciative .

I am also letting go of a lot of cookbooks and I am donating them. I was only able to let go by going through the books slowly to see if I would really use the recipes. That has helped me make the decision - I realized there was nothing much I was interested and I have books that I like so much better.

If you haven't used paperbackswap, it's a great way to 'trade' books with others for free, thru the mail. I've been a member for years and like it because I know a book I'm finished with is going directly to a person who will use/enjoy it. Then I get a 'credit' to request a book I'd like from another member.

What worked for me was to box up the ones I planned to give away and to store them temporarily in a basement closet/storage area.  After 3 - 6 months, any that I hadn't missed were easy to release.  A charity shop (Goodwill, ARC, etc.) or your local library might accept them to resell in support of their services.
