I use eatyourbooks to plan my weekly meal plans and create shopping lists. I've checked and the meal planning feature has been in the works for 8 years now. Are there any updates?

It would be lovely to see the development roadmap for eatyourbooks so we can see what features are in the works.

Eat Your Books is a very small company without outside investors so our funds spent on development have to always be directed to the benefit of the most members. We are aware that some features have been on our wishlist for a very long time but our primary focus has always been on providing as complete a recipe index as possible for our members. Our recipe index is now close to 2 million recipes which has involved a huge outlay.

Having said that, we have recently changed developers and we have some exciting projects currently in the works. One is improving the automation of recipe indexing - both for books, magazines and online recipes. This will allow us to import ingredient quantities. We would then improve the meal planning and shopping list functions and integration to online grocery shopping (which would have been difficult without the quantities). So the improvements you want are closer than they may have seemed.

it is *very* exciting to hear that the EYB team is working on a way to bring ingredient quantities into the EYB databases.  Definitely something to look forward to!!
