I have been indexing all of my cookbooks in a Google Sheet, and we pick five random recipes to cook each week using a random number generator. I'd love to see a "Random Recipe" button that pulls one recipe from your collection (perhaps with the ability to filter) to make this type of culinary exploration more possible.

I also use random number generation to decide on my "cake of the week" or "cocktail of the day".. I filter recipes for the category, then check the number of EYB pages that covers, a.. I use the  total number of pages to generate first random, (ie EYB page number) and then a random number between 1 > 25 to select the recipe from the page! Upshot:  I'd also support a random generator button ;-)

I was just thinking the same about a random recipe generator the other day!

Is it just me or does everyone have to sign in afresh each time even though I have ‘remember me’ ticked. Occasionally it does remember me, but then all I see is recipes for redcurrants as they were the very first thing I searched for.

I use a random number generator too. Also, once a week, I choose a random country (just google random country generator) and find something to cook from that country. Last week was Namibia, this week is Algeria. I would definitely support a randomizer function!

Check your bookmark on your browser. It probably has that particular search result page as the book mark. Edit the bookmark to just be "www.eatyourbooks.com". I know this because I do it a lot when saving bookmarks :)
