Hello, I have a question about the Request Index button that wasn't cleared up with the FAQs or forum - when I hit the RI button and it goes to my email to send the request it's a little messed up - it inserts the address and subject into the address line and I have to move the subject ("request title to be indexed") down into the subject line.  Also, should I have to type the title, etc.  of the book in the body of the email?  It doesn't seem to transfer over to the email (that one can physically see, anyway). Another time I hit the request button and my email didn't pop up at all, but it seems like something happened when I clicked the button, like it sent something automatically.  I haven't been certain if the requests have been going through either way, it might be a good idea to have some kind of acknowlegement come up so people know not to keep trying.

Also, it would be really great if the email page opened up into a new window/tab so that it's easier to return to EYB.

Thanks!

Yes, the Request to Index system is messy and with the new version of search that will go live in mid August (hopefully) it will be much cleaner and simpler.  Currently when you click the RI button a request automatically comes to us which goes into our indexing chart.  The email really is superfluous (and messy) and will be dropped with the new search.  So don't feel you need to send the email at all.

On the new search, once you have clicked the Request to Index link it greys-out so you know that you have requested that book.
