Hello friends,

I’d be most grateful to get your recommendations for a cookbook with a tried and true recipe for pizza dough. 

This will be a gift for a pizza-loving friend who is not an experienced cook so a book with pictures and clear instructions would be best.

Sue, I didn't see this before, but if you're still looking for a pizza book, I'd like to recommend one.

I have been working my way into Peter Reinhart's book, American Pie.  What it lacks in pictures, it makes up for in clear instruction.

His grilled pizza crust is fabulous.  It's my current go-to for pizza.

Definitely Peter Reinhart's Amerrican Pie. I was one of the testers for the book and can testify to the thoroughness of his approach. The "Ne0-Neapolitan" crust is my personal favorite.

Thanks so much for these terrific suggestions.  I decided to hold off on the "Pizza Basket" until I had a book that I could give with confidence so with your great ideas, looks like I'll be on track to give this for Christmas!
