Many times I had wished that I could search recipes by the number of ingredients. Such as under 5 ingredients, between 5-10 ingredients, more than 10 ingredients
Because sometimes I just want to make something very simple that involves only few ingredients.
(Prep time or cook time would be another way to find simple recipes too but since it’s uncommon for cookbooks to indicate this information. Number of ingredients is certainly available for EYB)

Not that this helps for searching, but there are several cookbooks with recipes that have a limited number of ingredients. For example, there are 257 "5 ingredient" cookbooks (search the Library using 5 ingredient) I have Jamie Oliver's 5-Ingredients Mediterranean and use it frequently.

I look for something similar, but search the word "fast".  "simple" would also work.  This gives book titles mostly, which is not quite what you are looking for, but might do what you need it to do

Check out Rozanne Gold's "Recipes 1-2-3" cookbooks which have some very clever recipes using only 3 ingredients.

You could also filter recipes using Quick / easy, which will probably give you a lot of choices with just a few ingredients if that's what you're looking for.

At present only 23 of those 257 "5-ingredient" books are indexed in EYB - bit of course you'd need the book for the full recipe, as just 3 of those are in the CKBK library which does give full access to the recipe (think you may need a CKBK subscription for that .. but not sure)
