I always enjoy this feature and would love to see a future article that provides a list of the most popular and the most buzz-worthy book in certain categories.  In particular, I'd love to see this list by country or region.  It would also be great to see the list by Book Types.  I do know I could do this myself but it would be great to see the results in one place.

On a related note, I'd also love to be able to search by "Member-Indexed" as I suspect most of these books are worth a look since someone felt strongly enough about their value to invest the time in indexing them.  I noticed the member-indexed Penang book today and after doing a bit of research, I've now added this to my wishlist.

Oh, I would also love to be able to search for the Member-Indexed books.

breadcrumbs, it's great you are inspired to get the Penang book, as I am the one who indexed it. I really like cookbooks about regional foreign cuisines and usually the books I index don't get a lot of exposure (often because they are not published in the USA).  So I'm really happy that other members notice these books and ofcourse the members that already have these books on their shelves also can profit.

This is the link to the zester daily review that inspired me to get the Penang book (if you haven't already read it):

Manon, sincere thanks for sharing that article.  I really enjoyed it and hadn't discovered it when I was Googling earlier.  Now of course I'm also very interested in the other Malaysian cookbook reviewed there as well!!  Thanks again.

Breadcrumbs - apologies for the delay in my reply, I'm currently traveling. Darcie will do a post about top regional cookbooks though it will be by number of Bookshelves rather than Buzz (Notes/Ratings) since not many books have those. So this is a call to members to rate and review your books as well as the recipes they contain.

Thanks Jane, that's very exciting news.  I'll be waiting in anxious anticipation of the results!!  Hopefully you're travelling for pleasure and having great weather and mounds of fun!

Jane, that post about the regional cookbooks sounds great! I'm looking forward to that!

Breadcrumbs, the other Malaysian cookbook (by Susheela Raghavan) is also already indexed, so you can compare recipes and see which you like best. Or do what I did and buy both :)
