It has come to light in the previous topic that private notes are now so private that they do not appear on your own list of notes when you search by looking in notes in your profile.
Also if the book shows a speech bubble as zero, it does not change after you have made your private note. It still says zero. However if you can remember that you made a note and you press that zero speech bubble your note does come up then. This seems to be a new "feature" as private notes I made in 2011 do still show up in my list.

I am a member since December 2013, and no private notes of mine show in my profile as well.

The non-showing of Private Notes on your Profile page was something our developer said was because the Profile page is public. We have a different developer now so I will see if he thinks there is a way around it.

I'm hopeful that there is a fairly straightforward solution for this annoying bug, because it's clear that in another situation the profile has no trouble detecting which signed-in user is looking at the profile page: When you look at the books on someone else's profile, books that you have in common disply your own Bookmarks.
