Hello

I am a relatively new user, so please forgive me if this has been discussed and answered previously.

I find a lot of my books are not indexed, this especially applies to more comprehensive books and recipe collections. As an example, the book Baking and Pastry: Mastering the Art and Craft by The Culinary Institute of America contains over 900 recipes. I don't know how you do it at Eat Your Books when you index books, maybe you have an automated, electronic solution, but I'm pretty sure no member would have the time or be willing to take on such a job. Could it be a good idea to share such jobs between members, for example by chapter or page range?

Regards,

Frode

The idea has some immediate appeal: I've member indexed a few of my larger 900+ recipe books and it does take some considerable commitment & time at 25 recipes an hour)! However, I can see a couple of potential glitches in terms of (a) consistency in indexing (even with the guidelines); (b) managing the checking process - but maybe its an idea worth some consideration ;-)

I'd really welcome this. Some of the books I'd most like to have indexed are my larger ones, but the task is daunting.

Yes, I like this idea too.
