Thank you for this info demomcook. I went to their site and definitely interested in ordering some of their items including macaroni, pasta, hamburger buns and a loaf of bread. Do you normally order from their site?

I shop often at Trader Joe’s and although I love their products a lot, I wish they carry low carb bread, pasta, and snack items. I guess the US market for low carb is still too small.

Today I found ”85% less carbs and higher protein bread” at Aldi in my small country town. Tastes great. If I had not followed this forum I never would have known that there was such a product.

Hi Cati, glad you were able to find a low carb bread you like.

I do order from them. They ship faster and fresher (for the bread). If you sign up for their newsletter, they send a free shipping code everymonth, too.

I've had FiberGourmet Light Elbows and used it to make Thomas Keller's Macaroni au gratin.  I could not tell the difference from the full carb version at all.  According to the bag, it makes 4 servings with 23g carb per serving.  I used half a bag and it made enough for 5+ servings for us.  But, the cost is much higher than the regular macaroni for sure.

About 3 weeks ago, I tried The Only Bean - Organic Soy Bean Spaghetti pasta.  Not sure if I overcooked but I did not like the texture at all.  It was gummy tasting.  Since I bought 3 bags, I intend to experiment to see about reduced cooking time.
