I have some annual books from Meredith Books. Some of them I bought in a now-defunct closeout store, but others I get i the mail automatically on an "on approval" basis; one of those series is Family Circle Hometown Cooking. All of them have individual ISBNs and a common ISSN. Whenever I get a new book in this series I always try to import it to my bookshelf. Vols. 8 and 9 are in the Library and on my bookshelf. But Vols. 10 and 11 are not in the Library. When I tried to import Vol. 10 last year, I thought, oh, it's brand new, it'll get in the Library eventually. But now it's a year later and neither Vol. 10 nor Vol. 11 are in the Library. How come? Has FCHC been reclassified as a magazine and not been approved for the Library?

bittrette - book data imports can only happen if the book is listed on Amazon and they have given the book food or drink tags. If neither of these is the case, the import will not happen. We don't have the resources to do manual data entry for every cookbook not listed on Amazon though we do try to add them as and when we get a spare moment. 

Of the books you have tried to import in the last year, ISBN 9780696302800 is not listed anywhere online so I have no idea what it is. 9780696302763 Family Circle Annual 2018 and 9780696302572 Family Circle Annual Recipes 2017 are now added. 9780696302619 Family Circle Hometown Cooking Volume 10 was not listed on Amazon and had only one listing from a Google search but I have now added it. Family Circle Hometown Cooking Volume 11 is not listed on the website of the publisher (Meredith Corporation) nor online - are you sure it has been publisshed?

No other member had requested these books be added to the Library so yours is the only Bookshelf they are on.
