Forum

For about a week or so I am experiencing both profile and forum hanging up when I click on them.  This is on my PC using firefox windows 10 and also on ipad with safari.  I can't get to profile and with forum, hit and miss like this time.  Anyone else having these issues? 

I sometimes have to click on profile to check the notes to find the recipe I've made and did not have time to include in my bookmark for recipes made. 

There does seem to be a bug on the Profile page and I have passed that over to our developer. But I cannot replicate the issue you are having with the Forum not loading. Have any other members had this issue?

The Profile should be loading properly again.

That's annoying. Unfortunately our developer is on vacation this week so it may not get fixed until the weekend. Sorry!

I've never had this happen to me until I read your comment and tried clicking on my profile just now and it hung up on me.  After a very long time I got an error message.  I tried your profile and Jane's and experienced no problem.  So, it's not just you, Rinshin!!

And a few hours later, it works!

In the meantime I tried restarting my computer, logging out of EYB and back in but none of that worked.  Putting my laptop down for a few hours to cook dinner did the trick!

Profile is hanging up on me and eventually would timed out and I got an error message.

Also I seem to have disappeared from your data base. I saw a recipe on notes/reviews that I was interested in, so I clicked on the recipe, the recipe screen showed up with an add bookmark entry indicating that I have the recipe, I clicked on the book itself, the book screen showed "+ bookshelf" indicating that I don't have the book. I then go to my own bookshelf and search for the book, it was there with a check mark. I then looked at the list of people that own the book and I was not on it. I then try couple other cookbooks that were on my bookshelf and my name was not on the lists of people owning the book.

That Profile loading issue is bizarre - it comes and goes and our developer cannot work out why it is happening.

You definitely have not disappeared from our database chawkins! Can you please email us with the titles of the books that are on your Bookshelf but you don't appear on the Bookshelves tab? We can then investigate further.

We have new developers so I hope they will be able to resolve this intermittent issue as our last developer could not.

Let's hope so. Maybe we could change the notes/reviews under my bookshelf to be that of your own notes, then we don't have to access it via the profile. The general notes/revews can be accessed from both home and library already.

That is on the developers' new features to-do list. Not to change the Notes on your own Bookshelf but to add My Notes.
