Hi Jane et al: my query relates to books that are NOT in EYB library collection, but are in member's collections. IS consideration being given to some  mechanism to request addition of favourite owned book to the library (with pre-requisites to considretaion being  (a) an offer to member index, and (b) scan of cover inage;(c) supply of all bibliographic data - ie: page numbers, ISBN, author, publisher, year). Just that I personally have several such books (which appear to now be collectables!), and I was prompted to make this request when I was scanning my brain for a quince ice cream recipe which I knew I had somewhere.. EYB's library gave me a few, but I found my recalled recipe after a little while spent searching through my hard copies.. You've got me so used to the ease of EYB, I'd almost forgotten how to turn the pages of the books! Anyway just a thought for your consideration as to what may be a useful and welcomed (at least by me!) addition to your already fantastic service.. ;-)

debkellie - there is a mechanism to request that books are added to the EYB Library.  You import the ISBN in the Import Books feature, which you access by clicking the My Bookshelf tab at the top.  This is explained in our Help section - Can I get a book added to the EYB Library?

If we are unable to import the data from Amazon for the book you request, then we are not able to add it at this time.  However, if it is a book that you want to index, then we will add it manually. Send us a request to [email protected] - please send ISBN if there is one, book title and subtitle, author, publisher, publication date, format, # of pages and if possible, the cover image (don't worry about cropping or size as we can fix that).
