Since becoming a member of EYB, I certainly get much more out of my cookbook collection.

The "problem" I have is the following: while leafing through a book I notice - say in February - a recipe with blackberries that I definitely want to try once blackberries are in season again. Any suggestions how I can bookmark these with a date? Apart from writing it into my calendar?

To accommodate my own wish to mark recipes for the future, I have set up several bookmarks like "Spring 2012", "Consider for Thanksgiving", etc.  (I have also got a similar set of bookmarks with names like "Made in Fall 2011".)

Your other option is to bookmark with the ingredient name such as blackberries - this means when you are searching for that fruit you will see the recipes you have previously noted.  It is easier to find the ones you liked rather than going through all your blackberry recipes in your entire cookbook collection.

But that could get unwieldy if there are a lot of seasonal ingredients you want to note.  So an easier way is to Bookmark all such recipes as Do Later then when you search, select that bookmark plus the ingredient you are interested in.  As always, it is better to select the ingredient from the Only Show filters as that is then a precise ingredient search not a word search.  So in this case you would select Ingredients / Fruit / Berries / Blackberries.
