We are making it easier to find, search and print your own Notes (will be on the site soon). One thing we are wondering is whether to automatically add the "I've Cooked This" date to recipes. It will be the same month as the date of the Note though you can override it with your own I've Cooked This date. The reason for doing this is that we could start tracking the most cooked recipes each month/year, which we think would be of interest to members.
For anyone who is confused by what I am saying - when you add a Note to a recipe, if you add it from My Bookshelf by clicking the chef's hat next to the recipe title, then you get a screen that lets you add the Note as well as Bookmarks e.g. I've Cooked This, Favorite Recipes, or any of your personal Bookmarks. If you select I've Cooked This then a month/year selection pops up and that then becomes the Date Cooked which appears in front of your note (only for you, not other members). This allows you to add dates that are not the same as the date you added the Note e.g. you keep a cooking diary and are importing all your notes to EYB so you want to log the date cooked as different to the date of the Note.
So my question is, would it be annoying or helpful if the date cooked (month/year) appeared in front of each your Notes? The dates would not appear in other members' Notes in the Library Notes, just for your own Notes.
