Question re: our own book entries   Go to last post Go to last unread

I accidently tested the new feature's behavior regarding duplicate entries. See Amish Cooking: Specialties of Lancaster County Soft Pretzels and Funnel Cake | Eat Your Books and Amish Cooking | Eat Your Books. My copy has no ISBN. However, I have a couple of questions:

  • Why does Pennsylvania Dutch (Deutsch) have a key word of Dutch rather than (American) German?

  • What do you want us to do when we add a book that is already in the system - I just failed to find it?

Then there is a separate question: Pennsylvania Dutch Foods, Cookery, Farmers' Markets | Eat Your Books and Best-Loved Pennsylvania Dutch Recipes | Eat Your Books have the same recipes despite having different names and publication dates. How do you want this indicated if you want it indicated.

Two entries were created when I went back to start the title over because my cursor had been moved; save was not hit: Did | Eat Your Books and y Really Ea | Eat Your Books They should be removed.

If you do add a duplicate book in error please let us know and we will delete it. You can just email us any issues about books you add, since it's not really relevant to any other member. I have now transferred over your details and cover image to the book already in the Library so you should add that to your Bookshelf.

I have corrected any listings of Pennsylvania Dutch as Dutch to German.

We only link books if they are being indexed - since the two Pennsylvania Dutch books you mention are only owned by you, they will only get indexed if you volunteer to index them yourself. Make sure you let Sydney know if you request to index them that the books should be linked.
