Is there a way to add an online link to a recipe that has a book listed on EYB, but has not yet been indexed. For instance, I just entered a recipe to online recipes. I know it's from a book I have on EYB that is not yet indexed. I would like to add the link to the book, if possible, along with my own notes since I've made the recipe before and my notes would be useful to others.

What members seem to do in this case is add the review and online link to the Notes for the book. When the book is then indexed you can transfer your Note to the relevant recipe and we will add the online recipe links.

In a similar vein, can we add online recipe links to book recipes that do not currently have a link included? I was just looking on the home page at a note someone wrote about some great Iced Coffee from the book The Pioneer Woman Cooks and then discovered that the recipe can be found on her blog too (at http://thepioneerwoman.c.../06/perfect-iced-coffee/). Would I just add this as a note or is there a way to make this an online recipe so that I can add it to my bookshelf?

Hi Susan_F,

As the online content manager, I routinely add online links to cookbook recipes so I would love if you could email me at [email protected] any cookbook recipe links you find. Just bear in mind that we will only link to legitimately reproduced recipes to avoid copyright violation, but what you have described here certainly sounds fine. We typically link to publisher sites, author sites, news/radio/magazine sites, & any other site or blog when it is stated the recipes were reproduced with permission. Once an online link is added, the individual recipe can then be added to your bookshelf.

You can add the iced coffee recipe to your bookshelf here http://www.eatyourbooks....7470/perfect-iced-coffee OR here http://www.eatyourbooks....3314/perfect-iced-coffee

(a member had previously added the recipe using the bookmarklet, and I also added the link to the cookbook recipe)

We'd love to link to all the cookbook recipes out there on the web, but the sheer number of them makes it quite a monuental task, (even with the 12,000+ we have already linked to!) But by emailing the ones you are interested in, I can make sure those particular ones take priority.

Thanks Christine. I must admit I had not paid any attention to the Bookmarklet facility, but will certainly use it again now (should have watched all the video tutorials when I joined!)
