I had noticed that I was going overboard with cookbooks and cooking magazines (that was before I found EYB) so this year, I made the resolution of not buying any cookbooks and USE the ones that I had.

What a dumb idea! I'm miserable! Ok, not really...

I'm doing good having failed only once this year so far. Curtis Stone, I'm talking about you!!!

Now, I'm gonna push this to the end of the year but NEVER AGAIN.

The one good thing of all this is that I'm choosing my list more carefully...the not-so-good-thing is that my wishlist is getting longer...

Hello, my name is Tanya and I'm a cookbookaholic...

Welcome, Tanya - you are among friends.  And sorry that we enabling our fellow addicts with our monthly roundup of the new releases - that is just too much temptation.

Tanya, glad to see I'm in good company lol. I feel exactly the same way. So many recipes, so little time. I keep promising myself that I shan't buy another cookbook until I've gotten into the habit of cooking from them exclusively, and trying out the recipes I gather, but alas, I wish I had your restraint. I just bought another cookbook and am eagerly awaiting its arrival!

I regularly make the same resolution but then just as regularly I break it... I figure there are worse things to spend my hard earned money on!
