While appreciating the magnitude of the task keeping abreast of  the flood of new cookbooks in English, have you ever considered listing non-Engish books?

Our library has a steadily increasing European section, mostly French, some Italian, the odd Spanish or German one.

In FNAC yesterday I had time to study the Cuisine section as was surprised (and disappointed) to see how many were devoted to cupcakes or macarons - or crumbles!!!  This in the land of Brillat-Savarin and Curnonsky!

Sadly many of the really good ones just never get translated - La Mazille on Perigord is unequalled, in my opinion.

You can list any language book in the EYB Library as long as the data is available on Amazon (which is where it is imported from).  We don't have the resources to add books manually though we will do so if someone wants to index it.  You can still index foreign-language books (and members have) though of course our ingredients and categories are in English.

If you use the filters by Country (of Publication) when searching books you will see some foreign-language books e.g. France, Germany, Spain, and Italy.
