Importing Browser Bookmarks?   Go to last post Go to last unread

For years, I've been keeping track of online recipes via my browser's bookmarks - it's an imperfect system, and I'd love to know if anyone has figured a way to import a browser (Chrome) bookmark file into Eat Your Books.

thanks for any suggestions!

Unfortunately there is not a way to do this. Adding online recipes to the EYB Library needs to be done with our Bookmarklet which involves indexing each recipe. Whether it is books, magazines, or online recipes, all indexing done by our professional indexers as well as members is a manual process.

If you just wanted those links saved to your own Bookshelf without indexing them fully, you could add them as Personal Recipes instead and copy-and-paste the recipe titles and URLs from your bookmark document -- while not an automated process, that would take less time. The recipes will not be as searchable without the ingredients and categories added though.
