Looking at September's offerings, I find six books I'd like to buy: Buck, Buck Moose by Hank Shaw, Simple by Diana Henry, Marcus at Home by Marcus Wareing, Taste of Persia by Naomi Duguid, Cuba! by Dan Goldberg, and My Stir-Fried Life by Ken Hom.

The problem is, the Henry, Duguid and Hom books are each being published in England. Buying them from there is easy, but shipping almost doubles the cost. So my questions are these:

Could EYB indicate somewhere in its book listing when and if foreign-published titles will be published in the U.S.?

Are there bookstores (presumably cookbook specialists) in the U.S. that sell foreign-published titles when they first come out?

Any help appreciated. Off now to check October's offerings!

Hi ploughmandad -- Have you tried checking the Book Depository? They are perhaps best known for their free worldwide shipping (some limitations, but there are quite a lot of countries on their list). They don't always have the lowest online price, but the free international shipping often more than makes up for that, though it could vary book to book. EYB has affiliate links for the Book Depository, so we earn a referral commission if you first click through under "Buy Book" on the cookbook's EYB page. Let us know if that helps!

I've been using the Australian version of booko for years, but they also have US, UK, Spanish etc. versions. try visiting https://booko.us/ and searching for the books, and it will show you where you can buy it cheapest, including shipping and currency conversions. It also shows second hand books! There are some sites that offer free shipping if you've searched through booko, that you don't get otherwise. eg. https://booko.us/9781579...Iran-and-Kurdistan 

ploughmandad - we will always list the USA publication of new books from important UK authors in our monthly new cookbooks roundup. For the new books you mentioned:

Simple by Diana Henry is published in the USA on the same day as the UK - September 6

Taste of Persia by Naomi Duguid is a USA pubication and comes out on September 20.

My Stir-Fried Life by Ken Hom does not yet have a USA pub date.

Did you maybe mean Marcus at Home by Marcus Wareing was a UK publication? That also does not yet have a USA pub date.

Try also amazon.de, there is an english version of the site. Their book prices are higher, but shipping costs are very low. And besides, they may have the title you are looking for but can't be found elswhere. And know, I will go to see the other two sites mentiones in this topic.

No problem. Just remember that if Amazon is the cheapest, come back to EYB and search and click through to buy from here - I think they get referral $ which helps us all :)
