Yes I saw it today. It was fun. You needed to accept that it is inspired by, rather than a recreation of Lewis Carroll, and take it on it's own terms. It was also one of those movies where you have fun spotting the famous British actor voicing the part and/or disguised under layers of make up. We didn't have a kid to take, so shamelessly went anyway. I certainly see where the Nigella Lawson interpretation of the White Queen character came from, and maybe I recognised a couple of Nigella-type gestures/expressions in the cooking scene. However, I have to conclude that no-one since Marilyn Monroe has known so well how to flirt with the camera as Nigella, bless her... I'm curious to hear Jane's update on the subject.
