Three suggestions - reporting recipe errors, menus, pictures   Go to last post Go to last unread

1. Often when I find an error in a recipe (which is not too often), I am too lazy to report the error. However, if the recipe had a function that built the email - my name, email and recipe identification - I'd be much more faithful about reporting errors.

2. Something that I treat as "recipes" that are not explicitly accounted for in EYB are books such as

Traditional Indian Thali: Maharashtiyan, Gujarati, Rajashthani, Punjabi, South Indian Thali [Vegetarian]

by Vaishali Tripathi

or websites such as

How to prepare a typical Indonesian rijsttafel

I would like the ability to enter menu level items as "recipes" especially to prepare for ethnic dinner parties.

3. There are times when adding a picture for an online recipe fails - it is farther down than the 5th picture, the picture serves as a link to the recipe so they are not on the same page, slow connection resulted in "not found". It would be useful to be able to specify a link to the picture when the automatic lookup has failed to provide one.

Apologies for the delay in my reply.

1. I have added to feature requests on our development to-do list that the URL of the page you are on and your member username get automatically added to Report an error contact form.

2.You can enter menu-level items as Personal Recipes. You then enter the book and page number in the Source field or if it is online, you enter the link in Online URL. There is more information on adding Personal Recipes in our Help section.

3. If the photo for an online recipe does not load, add a note in Indexer comments then when Cathy is checking and approving member added recipes, she will see that a photo needs to be added manually for that recipe.
